Operations Manager Job in North London, London UK
An exciting opportunity has just become available with a specialist distributor within the catering sector. They seek an individual with experience of managing a fast moving logistics or warehouse operation to take day- to- day control of one of their largest service centres in the South East.
The successful candidate will be a commercially aware individual with a strong focus on Customer Service and an appreciation of customer priorities. You will ensure that hygiene standards are in place and maintained and all products supplied are of the highest quality. You will have experience of implementing procedures, systems and processes and will ensure that relevant ones are in place and adhered to at all times. It will be your responsibility to maintain a robust control over KPI's and that all service levels are raised to the highest standards and operational effectiveness. It goes without saying that you will have an excellent grasp of financial controls and experience of managing cost centres, budgets and KPI's. You will be a credible leader with previous experience of providing strong direction to a large operational team; setting clear objectives and goals and through your natural motivational skills and engagement with them enhancing their performance and effectiveness. Essentially you will have previous experience of ISO quality systems and their on-going maintenance along with strong IT skills.
