Operations Manager
Job Description Eaton Corporation located in Sarasota Florida has an immediate opening for an Operations Manager. The successful candidate will: Direct the plant manufacturing operations and manufacturing support functions for the Sarasota and Reynosa, Mexico facilities. Direct reporting responsibilities include Manufacturing Supervision, Production Labor, and Maintenance and Facilities. Work through matrix management structure for quality engineering, planning, purchasing, product engineering and customer service. Establish strategic direction and tactical implementation for manufacturing Direct the implementation of Lean Methodologies and Six Sigma initiatives Achieve Cost, Quality, Customer Delivery and continuous improvement objectives Successfully implement improved manufacturing processes Achieve or exceed profit plan manufacturing margins on sales Achieve other Eaton Balanced Scorecard Measures (Quality, Cost of Non-Conformance, etc.) Promote team spirit and morale through Eaton Values and Philosophy Generate enthusiasm, commitment and performance from others Demonstrate ability to make good decisions based on analysis, experience and judgment Ensure HPWT (High Performance Work Team) establishment, support, and leadership This position reports to the Plant Manager and is a member of the Plant Leadership team. Position Criteria: Fundamental concepts of manufacturing management and well versed in manufacturing best practices including single piece flow. Demonstrated knowledge and successful implementation of Lean Methodologies and Six Sigma Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed goals consistently individually and through teams Reliance on structured problem solving techniques using six sigma and lean analytical tools Ability to lead diverse cross-functional teams Interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication with internal and external customers, suppliers, subordinates and peers. Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. Minimum 5 years manufacturing/operations experience is required. Minimum 3 years supervisory/managerial experience is required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
