Job Description
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of the day-to-day activities of the business operating units to include call, claim, client services and quality in Antwerp, Kula Lumpur and Miami offices.
This position is involved in formulating and implementing the operations strategy and policies. Assists in the development and administration of business goals, objectives and plans. Develops new operations procedures and systems, and enhances existing processes to achieve optimal efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate a global service vision for the organization. Establish a communication protocol for the department to ensure understanding and alignment across the business (Cigna Global Health Benefits)
- Working with the field operations and management, gain buy-in to the strategy initially and then on-going. Leverage these resources to help shape the service offering in the future.
- Maintain a proactive work environment through integrating processes across the business, improving processes through redesign to make the business more efficient while maintaining an on target timeline for reaching business objectives. Accountable for making decisions that will affect the business outcome in the organization.
- Ensure that all activities are done to meet targeted metrics and in compliance with regulations.
- Partner proactively and strategically with sales and client management leadership to address client service issues, ensure SLA's are met or exceeded.
- Improve efficiencies in the productivity and costing of the company's back office operating functions (manage resources consistent with local expense targets).
- Execute annual and long-term operational business plans with the goal of supporting development and continued growth of business.
- Oversee the management of risks to ensure compliance, control of business risks in support of future business growth.
- Recruit, train, retain, motivate and maintain the discipline and morale of operations personnel
- Build an effective team by ensuring retention, motivation and development of key staff. Lead and direct teams under management to achieve maximum efficiency and business results.
- Travel can be anything up to 25-30% of the role.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- BS degree, Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of Ops management/leadership experience with service delivery experience preferred (in a variety of operational roles).
- Experience in business strategy development and planning.
- Experience managing cross functional groups an advantage.
