Job Requirements:
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts, such as advanced statistical theory, and mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to financial statements, budgets and cash flow.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific reasoning to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism in its most difficult phases. Ability to directly, or through others, develop a strategic plan based on a keen understanding of customer insights into a logical plan of action. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Scope and Responsibility: Responsible for all plant activities in a business unit capable of producing one hundred million or greater in revenue.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, walk, talk, hear and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
Work Environment: The incumbent is occasionally required to work in a quarry environment near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
