Operations Manager, Terminal/Storage
Piper Morgan is seeking well seasoned candidates for a new operations management position with a gulf coast area storage terminaling faciity. The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills and the ability to lead change to enhance productivity and encourage a safety culture. Minimum qualifications include:
· 7+ years direct production management experience in a refinery or liquid bulk terminal with strong understanding of petroleum properties, hazards, and processing.
· Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience
· 2 year technical degree or engineering degree a plus
· Strong understanding of OSHA and safety management
· Experience working with plant equipment (boilers, pumps, cooling towers, etc.)
· Excellent communication and team building skills
· Substantial supervisory skills
· Demonstrated ability to establish credibility and rapport with all levels of the organization
This position will report to the Site manager and have up to 12 direct reports. The operations manager will direct and motivate plant production; insuring safe and efficient operation of the facility. Plan daily production and maintenance activities, communicate production goals and objectives as well as guiding, coaching and encouraging continuous improvement and production initiatives.
The incumbent will be a key member of the management team reviewing and analyzing financial, statistical data, trends and strategic planning.
