OPERATIONS MANAGER(S) Job in Memphis 38115, Tennessee US
JOB PURPOSE: Transports finished goods and materials by managing staff, establishing policies, procedures and methods in a fast-paced production environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Prior GM or AGM experience a plus
- Five years experience in facility operations management
- 3PL operational experience is highly desired
- Efficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) required
- Extensive experience with Warehouse Management Systems required
- The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments and direct the workforce in a fast-paced and ever-changing, warehouse environment
- Proven track record managing within a 100+ employee pick/pack and/or distribution center operation. Must be comfortable managing on the floor as well as in the office
- Vendor/customer relationship experience on both operational and senior customer levels
- .com fulfillment experience a plus, but not required
- Extensive experience directing and managing an effective facility safety program
- QA/Inventory control experience
- Experience with managing compliance to customer KPI's in all functional areas
- Proven ability to partner with HR Manager and Recruiting team to ensure proper staffing levels at all times
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus*
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintain inventory control staff by training employees and developing personal growth opportunities
- Secure product in storage facilities by maintaining security
- Provide product when and where needed by controlling product flow into, through and out of the distribution facility
- Maintain storage levels by adjusting production
- Reduce cost of inventory by maximizing just-in-time product completions
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards; minimizing inventory levels; recommending new material handling systems
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information
- Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements by enforcing regulations
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
