Operations Officer recruitment
Our client is a financial institution based in the Middle East and has been in the industry for more than four decades with operations in 25 countries. It is actively expanding its operations internationally to include new locations in Europe as well as Africa and South East Asia.
Major Responsibilities:
- Process remittances and FX/MM settlements promptly and accurately
- Investigate mismatches in confirmation
- Prepare payment messages via SWIFT and coordinate with the relevant departments
- Assist Head of Operations in managing the Bank’s positions and to conclude transactions with the Bank’s counterparties
- Process payment orders/remittances, negotiate and conclude loans/deposits, foreign exchange initiated by customers
- Liaise with counterparties for Operations and Payment matters
- Ensure strict adherence to the Bank’s AML/KYC policies with regards to transaction and processing
- Ensure compliance with Audit and adherence to Regulatory and Compliance guidelines
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Diploma or degree in finance or business fields
- Sound knowledge of banking products and SWIFT payments
- Knowledge in Islamic finance will be advantageous
- Aptitude for figures and a keen eye for detail
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
