Operations Officer recruitment

We are recruiting for an Operations Officer, the main responsibilities of the role are:
- Ensure all investment transactions are properly confirmed, correctly entered into the portfolio management system and settlement instructions are appropriately communicated to custodians;
- Monitor the settlement of transactions. Investigate and follow-up on failed trades/cash transfers;
- Monitor funding requirements and ensure transactions are properly funded and cash is managed in accordance with procedures;
- Prepare fund subscription documents and deal with KYC related queries;
- Valuation of the portfolio across multiple asset classes and instruments;
- Monitor information sources and ensure corporate actions and entitlements are processed accurately and on a timely basis;
- Maintain static data and ensure fund/security analysis is kept up to date;
- Perform bank, custody, fund and security reconciliations on a timely accurate basis;
- Liaise with counter-parties, external and internal auditors and facilitate good working relationships; and,
- Actively contribute to the ongoing improvement of systems and procedures.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years relevant settlements/operations experience in a similar financial services environment. You should be able to demonstrate good relevant technical understanding and a detailed knowledge of at least one major asset class. A Bachelor’s degree and/or postgraduate qualification in business, accounting or a similar discipline is required. The ideal candidate should possess attention to detail, an organised approach and a service focus.
