The Operations Plant Manager will be responsible for managing the entire facility, consisting of multiple FBE, ID, and concrete coating facilities/plants, and yard operations.
- Develop, manage and control profits, plans, and budget for TBC. Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, and human resources, maximizing ROI.
- Financial reporting, analysis and forecasting
- Assessment of capital expenditure requests and audit of expected benefits/savings once implemented
- Involved in addressing operational challenges, opportunities, and business strategy
- Ensure TBC complies with SOX regulations
- Manage Job Costing to ensure all costs are captured and properly allocated and streamlining the process to make the entire system more efficient
- Ensure all production metrics are captured daily and provide feedback to Operations, and assist in fostering employee development
- Provide input to the project estimating process, participate in project bid review meetings, and approve manufacturing estimates
- Participate in weekly sales meetings, operations meetings, and the monthly TBC financial review
- Participate in yearly strategic planning meetings
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or other related field or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of operations and office management experience in a coating facility or other related industry required.
- Must be familiar with material handling equipment and how to properly maintain (maintenance programs) and repair equipment.
- Extensive knowledge in all areas of operations required.
- Must be able to maintain and be familiar with safety and environmental concerns.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and handle stress in a highly productive environment.
- Clearly communicate to all members of the team.
- Must be able to control budgeted labor, overtime costs, and maintain fiscal responsibility for all departments' budgets.
- Written and oral skills are of utmost importance. Proficient in applications such as the Internet, Word and Excel.
