Operations Project Manager recruitment
We actively seek an exceptional and experienced individual to join our Billing Team within the Finance organization. Our Billing team is responsible for the invoicing of global rating services, which requires interaction and coordination with all departments across the organization. Given our broad range of inter dependencies with departments, our projects are diverse (e.g. tax, revenue recognition, regulatory reporting, new products, new systems, data cleanup). As a Billing Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and multiple projects and meeting deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership and lead/managed medium scale projects on multiple projects.
- Identify project risks, plan, organize and manage the deliverable across the development lifecycle, with "hands on" responsibilities as necessary. Coordinate activities with other groups, tracking progress of development against plan and budget. Alerting senior management of issues that might impact successful on-time / on-budget delivery.
- Coordination of post implementation support as necessary. Creation of proposals for new development efforts based upon initial deliverables.
- Managing the relationship with team(s) for the duration of the project. This includes managing expectations and managing the communication to and from the team(s). This also includes identifying and managing team(s)-side risks.
- Obtaining sponsor acceptance upon successful, on-time completion of the project.
- Lead initiatives as a subject matter expert and coordinate/manage multiple initiatives.
- Represent the billing team at cross-team projects (having gain a broad base of knowledge on invoicing).
- Produce detailed project plans and oversee the execution of those plans and summarize and present outputs/findings.
Qualifications
- Strong track record of successful and timely delivery of technical projects, preferably within a Financial Services environment. Experience planning complex multidisciplinary projects in a global and multicultural organization.
- Work experience in process driven functions (5+ years) / Project experience (2+ years) / Overall 7+ years
- Bachelors degree, MBA or PMP a plus
- Experience working in an environment with defined deadlines (e.g. monthly close of books)
- Designed and implemented new processes and led change/improvement initiatives
- Worked closely with IT on projects
- Consulting background would be an advantage
- Accounting qualification/experience would be an advantage
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts to a senior audience.
- A strong client focused orientation with the drive and enthusiasm required to achieve results and assume customer satisfaction.
