Operations Regulatory Specialist recruitment

2 positions have come available in this growing team located in a top tier, Canary Wharf based, investment bank. Currently with a headcount of around 50 people, the group is all relatively new, having been formed about 2 and a half years ago. They have expanded their remit, absorbing responsibilities from their Wealth Management arm, taking on Client Money teams, and have centralised a number of functions that were done in India. All in all: this team is growing.

The team handles a range of regulatory responsibilities, centering around transactional reporting, analysis, management information (MI) escalations, controls, exception clearing and root cause analysis. They act as an internal client services that can ask a very big 'why?' to a range of operational questions around how regulatory / FSA responsibilities might be missed, and how to avoid the same problems repeating themselves.

Someone applying to this role does not need to have done the exact role in the past. What they seek are intelligent operations specialists who have worked in top tier investment banks. People who have a good awareness of large volume processes and systems, their potential operational control short falls, and the risks that this can cause. Someone who appreciates the principles behind FSA reporting and is committed to a career in operations.

This opportunity is an exciting, cutting edge role that allows scope for someone to improve processes, to question how things are done, and to determine the future state of the operational group. The responsibilities don't get much higher.
