Operations Research Manager for Net Credit Loss Management

Bank of America Legacy Asset Servicing (LAS) has an opportunity for a Operations Research Manager within the Net Credit Loss Management Group in its Credit Strategies organization. Working with a team of experienced credit loss operations managers, this position location is negotiable however it is preferable to have position based out of the firm's Calabasas or Simi Valley CA locations. As a member of the LAS NCL Team, you become part of an experienced consumer credit risk management organization that is committed to providing data management, net credit loss analysis, and loss forecasting support to Senior Management for estimating credit risk on a multibillion dollar portfolio of consumer mortgage products. ? Provides leadership and management of business control processes in the execution of monthly NCL process generated using Over$ight Application to meet the regulatory requirements including all FFIEC processes. ? Maintain and update the NCL Chargeoff policies / procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including FFIEC ? Provides leadership and management of business and SOX control process in the execution of monthly NCL process generated using Over$ight Application to meet the regulatory requirements including all FFIEC processes. ? Provide leadership and manage the analytical and technical support in the execution of the sub-servicing transfer initiative (SSTI ) transfers to ensure data consistency to ensure loss results are accurate and complete. ? Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) testing routines to validate data transferred and Over$ight results meet quality standard for Sub servicer loan transfers/conversions. ? Develop working knowledge of Over$ight application to assist in Base Over$ight and Generational UAT ? Performs SOX and non-SOX validation controls in accordance with FFIEC regulation and audit requirements Manages a group of Ops Research (OR) analysts. Draws on work exp. and education to scope, research and solve potential projects or areas where OR may contribute. Leads the analysis of actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a business system to obtain quantitative, rational basis for decision making through the application of logic and scientific disciplines. Directs the development of modeling and measuring techniques and leads the use of mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques (linear programming, game theory, probability theory, symbolic language, etc.) and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines. Identifies new areas of OR that will help enable, streamline and optimize ops by using OR methodologies. Work is performed with minimal direction. Completed work is reviewed, from a relatively long-term perspective. Generally accomplishes results through lower mgmt levels. Responsible for planning, staffing; directing and controlling the performance of a team of OR analysts. Responsible for analysis and support of operational activities of major significance. Rarely involved in daily ops activities. Is more concerned with strategic decision-making and insuring that overall budgets, schedules, and perf. standards are set and attained. Decisions affect the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the co. Erroneous decisions would result in failure to achieve major co. goals. Conducts technical meetings for top management/customers. Typically has adv degree in Ops Resch/Ind. Engineering/Applied Math. with 5+ yrs of exp. An MBA in a Quantitative discipline would be a plus. Exp in leading OR team in application of modeling languages like OPL-Studio, AMPL or GAMS is required. Exp with discrete event simulation software such as Arena/SIMAN, Extend, ProModel or iGrafx. Exp in C/C++, Visual Basic Apps.
