Job Description Job Title: Operations Scheduler Associate - Chantilly, VA - CI Polygraph Required Requisition ID: 12001LB Job Category: Operations Scheduling Specialist 3 Primary Location: USA-VA: VIRGINIA-CHANTILLY Schedule: Full-time Job Type: Regular Employee Status: Regular Travel: No Job Posting: 2012-Feb-03 Description Essential Job Functions Develops and maintains automated job schedules in support of multiple clients to ensure completion and timely production of work. Works with the development staff to establish processing priorities to meet service level agreements. Sets up special production and on-request jobs, altering daily schedule as necessary to accommodate special requests. Troubleshoots non-routine errors related to batch processing, late critical batch, and SRTs. Works to improve productivity. Develops and tests new batch processes to ensure productivity is not adversely affected. Escalates matters of significance as appropriate. Creates, recommends and implements scheduling procedures and timely documentation of procedures; ensures implementation is in accordance with standard scheduling procedures; escalates errors as appropriate. Works to minimize operator interventions by automating schedules to reduce errors. Analyzes the planning, developing, and coordinating of scheduling techniques to improve operations productivity. Generates and analyzes output of forecasts of job schedules in support of monitoring and tracking of batch processes. Prepares for and participates in daily service reviews. Forwards status reports to clients and management. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Must have a TS/SCI with CI Poly 5 plus years of recent experience or equivalent combination of education certifications and experience. Project Management, Project Schedule, Integrated Master Schedule for business IT portifolios. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Project Server 2007 and Microsoft Project, including resource management. Experience in master scheduling and using MS Project for ERP implementation/OM is desired. High school diploma One or more years of vocational training in computer operations Four or more years of operations scheduling experience Experience working with mainframes, mainframe and midrange scheduling software, and other related technologies Experience working with system job control language Other Qualifications Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members Communication skills Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work Good analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve batch processing errors Basic leadership skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Remote Work Authorized: No Relocation Assistence: Not Available Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
