Scanning Operations Site Manager
Position based in Rome area with some travel required
We are looking for an experienced, efficiency-minded, detail-oriented manager with track record of taking initiative and delivering exceptional performance to run this site in the Rome area. Your objective will be to implement standardized processes, assemble a team, and meet or exceed production and quality targets while improving operations, streamlining work processes and reducing costs. You should have experience in managing high volume operations, have successfully held responsibilities for leadership for all, or a large part, of a stand alone site (for example, as plant manager), and a proven ability to build effective relationships with business partners and support resources, both local and remote. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, managing and motivating a team and ensuring cross-functional collaboration with local and remote support functions.
Responsibilities:
· Align the site with the team strategies, key objectives, targets, and company policies
· Build a high performing team by recruit exceptional talent for staff positions
· Cultivate an environment that encourages integrity, innovation, participation, process improvement, values, commitment and teamwork among employees
· Implement and manage standard processes; develop new processes where needed
· Achieve targets set for the site
· Manage the daily operations and employees during both during operation start-up and full scale operation
· Identify process improvements, collaborate with local partner, remote peers and support resources to influence process design decisions, share best practices, and coordinate implementation
· Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers
· Manage and provide leadership and guidance to the local team
· Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations
· Communicate effectively and regularly to local staff, to the SSSARL board, and to managers in partner companies responsible for similar sites using the same technology and processes
· Make informed, fact-based recommendations and decision using standardized dashboards and reporting tools, and designing and conducting ad hoc analyses when needed
Requirements:
· BA or BS required. MBA, MS or other graduate degree preferred. Engineering and technical background helpful.
· Prior supervisory or managerial experience required, preferably in production-like setting, previous experience managing a stand alone operation such as plant or large, multi-function department
· Ability to work independently and also collaborate with remote teams
· Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills
· Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in complex environments
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
· Proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
· Knowledge of the latest Windows Office applications (including Excel) strongly preferred; proficiency with the web and Linux a bonus
· Fluent Italian and English
· Good / strong decision maker
