Operations Specialist I (Pasadena, CA)**PART-TIME ON-CALL POSITION**
Operations Specialist I Kaiser Permanente Pasadena, CA ***THIS IS A PART-TIME ON-CALL POSITION - Under supervision, provide general support for research activities. - Coordinates recruitment of participants for studies and develops information packets for the participants. - Monitors and tracks participant progress throughout the project and provides follow-up as needed. - Assists with development of research instruments. - Edits and manipulates data, including basic statistical analyses. - Maintains project records reports. Reviews literature relating to research project. - Collects project data through interviews (telephone or in-person), surveys, and other methods. - Attends focus groups and takes detailed notes. - Transcribes focus group notes and/or recordings. - Categorizes and codes open-ended data. - May be responsible for data quality assurance. - May coordinate small scale research projects. - Occasional travel to medical centers or other Regions. - Occasional work in evenings for focus groups. - Experience with SPSS a plus. - Previous experience in a research setting and familiarity with research methods and design preferred. - Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills and work well in a team setting. - Must have meticulous attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple activities and use time management skills. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of administrative and operational support within a specific functional level with increasing scope and discretion. - Minimum of 2 years of functional analytical experience. - High School Diploma/GED. - Ability to apply and use thorough knowledge of KP's policies, practices, business processes, techniques, work standards and systems. - Uses acquired knowledge of industry practices and standards. - Intermediate knowledge of Excel to compile and create moderately complex spreadsheets and reports. - Uses intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Word, MS Project, and or/PowerPoint) to create moderately complex presentation materials with graphs, illustrations, etc.; proofreads content for accuracy and KP established formatting. - Strong quantitative and analytical skills. - Ability to acquire and use advanced knowledge of KP and its customers. - Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills and work well in a team setting. - Must have meticulous attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple activities and use time management skills. Preferred Qualifications: - BA/BS preferred Experience with SPSS a plus. - Previous experience in a research setting and familiarity with research methods and design preferred.
