Operations Specialist – PWM Project Lead/Business Analyst – Business Development Group (Director) recruitment

The PWM Business Development Group (BDG) is a dedicated global project team established within PWM Operations. The team is responsible for successful delivery on a wide range of project initiatives for PWM International, whether solely Operational or as part of a larger strategic delivery. This can include implementation of new product capabilities for the Business Unit or the delivery of end-to-end change in response to process, system or regulatory initiatives.  The group acts as a key conduit between Technology and the Business Unit, but also engages Finance, Risk, Legal / Compliance and other key stakeholder groups.

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join this team and to play a key part in the success of the PWM International business, as it makes significant investment in its infrastructure through a multi-year growth strategy.

Job Description:
Responsibilities will include:

• Liaison between the Business Unit and IT teams, as well as other key infrastructure areas
• Defining and writing detailed business requirements
• Issues management/resolution
• Reviewing functional specifications against requirements
• Development of User Acceptance Test plans and scripts
• Execution of UAT scripts and issue, defect and change request resolution
• Creation of training materials and delivery of training to end users
• Application deployment and roll-out management and support
• Extensive management reporting

The program of initiatives scheduled for investment in 2012 and beyond includes:
• Fixed Income Order Management and trade processing
• Delivery of tactical and strategic derivative programs
• New Account Opening Automation
• Client Data renovation,
• Client Reporting
• Regulatory Initiatives

This will present a wide range of opportunities to the successful candidate, who will be expected to provide subject matter expertise as well as taking the Operations lead role on projects, overseeing them from proposal through to implementation and benefits realisation.

Skills Required
• Proven written and verbal communication skills – the role requires someone who can lead and contribute extensively to meetings, run presentations for users, specialists and management, and produce high quality reference documentation
• Analytical, proven experiences of working in a structured environment, with an aptitude to learn new and complex subjects and skills quickly under their own initiative
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, since the role will require working with people from different divisions and levels of seniority while interacting with virtual, globally-displaced teams
• Self motivated, able to work in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision and deliver to tight deadlines
• Proven Business Analysis experience
• Exposure to technology projects preferable or proven technical aptitude
