This is an evening shift position that will be from either 1.30-9.30pm or 2.30-10.30pm Monday -Friday, these hours are set to suit clients on a global basis and cannot be changed. There is a shift allowance awarded on top of the basic salary and you will be working in a small team so flexibility will required.
Purpose of the Role:
Provision of accurate and timely forex data services to those external clients and State Street business units subscribing to WM/Reuters Spot and Forward Rates during the hours stated in contract.
Duties Responsibilities:
- Gather, research and quality control of global currency data
- Deliver verified data to clients/target systems
- Secondary QC of fix data
- Adhere to procedures
- Complete query resolution and user support
- Alert management of problem/crisis situations
- Inform management of work in progress and any potential issues liable to impact deadlines/standards
- Generate ideas to improve systems / procedures / services through line management
- Respond to client queries and issue service related news
- Update Forex Bulletin Board with relevant news stories
- Invoke internal / external support network to raise and resolve service issues
- Participate in project work and service improvement initiatives
- Assist in the production of documentation and training in fields of expertise
- Manage time and responsibilities
- Attain appropriate level of competence
Skills Knowledge:
- Knowledge of of foreign exchange is highly beneficial
- Ability to understand and interpret complex market information and statistical data
- Act independently and pro-actively in the resolution of data issues
- Basic understanding of stock market practices desirable
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Numerate and literate
- Good interpersonal skills – a team player
- High regard for accuracy and professionalism
- Disciplined approach to database maintenance
- Ability to multi task producing timely and accurate work under pressure
- Flexible – willing and able to accept constant change
