With over 80 years experience in the transport market, our client is renowned as an industry leading Heavy Haulage and Over-Dimensional transport provider. With branches throughout Queensland and agents positioned Australia wide, they are well positioned to provide an exception level of service to their key clients on a National level.
Due to the acquisition of a number of new projects, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Operation Supervisor to run the companies local division which includes container movements and over-dimensional loads. You will also be responsible for managing drivers (both company and subcontractors), office staff and providing exceptional service levels to key clients.
To be successful in this position you will need to be able to demonstrate:
• Extensive industry experience, specifically with containerized transport
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Reliability and flexibility to work around business requirements
• Keen eye for detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Intermediate computer literacy (specific experience with the One Stop Booking System is essential)
• Proven ability to manage drivers to ensure the efficient and effective utilization of the company's fleet.
