Operations Supervisor

Position Description:
Minnesota Energy Resources, a subsidiary of Integrys Energy Group, is currently recruiting for an Operations Supervisor for our office in Worthington, Minnesota. This position reports to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Minnesota Energy Resources initiatives, work orders and plans for approved projects; coordinate and prioritize maintenance and construction work assignments to maximize gas system operations service and reliability; coordinate all Service Choice training and promotions with Service Choice Products manager; ensure completion of work according to budget and the OM contract; document and communicate work results.
- Develop capabilities of field personnel by providing coaching, training and counseling on work and safety related programs and initiatives; provide leadership on process improvements within the scope of the job.
- Evaluate procedures to ensure safety, training, best work practices, and standards are continually improved to maximize efficiencies; provide technical and operational assistance to field and staff personnel when required.
- Handle or assist in handling staffing, employee relations, and discipline issues; interact with other members of leadership team to plan, schedule and make efficient and effective use of resources, tools and personnel; provide coaching and assistance to work group members in resolving work and interpersonal problems; provide/recommend solutions in timely manner when issues arise (outages, emergencies, etc.)
Position Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in a technical, business, supervisory management or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an informal or formal leadership role.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in technical, process and business procedures in gas distribution, appliance repair and Service Choice appliance repair contracts.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to develop and deliver quality presentations.
- Experience with Minnesota regulatory rules.
- Experience with appliance and/or HVAC repair.
