Operations Supervisor (Relocation Package Avail)
$60K - $80K + Bonus

Our client is looking for career professional interested in joining an established organization that offers long term career growth opportunity. This individual will oversee the 2nd shift operations at one of theirMaine plants

Responsibilities:

*Oversee a team of frontline employees responsible for operating and maintaining high speed equipment

*Manage relationships with Planning, Quality, Maintenance and the Warehouse to maximize efficiencies and achievement of targets

*Coach, mentor and develop team members to meet current and future business requirements

*Review daily achievement of targets and report variances during on-the-floor and review meetings

*Use continuous improvement methodologies and projects to improve and streamline production

*Prioritize, schedule, and ensure maintenance repairs are completed to maximize efficiency

*Review daily maintenance effectiveness with Maintenance Mechanic and Team members to identify opportunities for improvement.

*Ensure the development and implementation of action plans to address root causes of failures and support continuous improvement initiatives

*Ensure a clean and safe work environment, in accordance with plant operating standards and internal and external regulations

*Facilitate seamless handoffs and communicate key information to peers, team members and Production Management

*Oversee the proper training of new hires and seasonal staff

Requirements:

*Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related field required

*Masters preferred

*Five or more years of experience within manufacturing with two or more years of experience in a supervisory capacity with production line ownership required

*Prior experience in the consumer products industry or food and beverage desired

*Knowledge and exposure to TPM and/or Six Sigma

*Solid understanding of production processes and mechanics of line equipment

*Strong computer skills, MS Office and business management software (SAP preferred)

*Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and production monitoring systems (i.e. EIT)

*Grasp of cost implications on various operations related factors

*Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives on tight deadlines and delegate accordingly

*Effective communication skills with the ability to influence change and encourage action

*Solid problem solving abilities with the ability to coach and mentor others in this capacity

*Demonstrated track record of developing employees
