Operations Technician Co-op Lyondell
Description Operations Technicians responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining day-to-day unit operations, coordinating daily minor maintenance repairs, conducting job analysis pertaining to unit operations and applying statistical tools to enhance product quality. Additionally, technicians have responsibility for start-up, shutdown, isolation and decontamination of plant equipment and for understanding and complying with administration of company policy and guidelines. Co-ops will train with and support process technicians while participating as a contributing member of the operations team. Intern duties include: Make rounds and assist in taking readings. Monitor normal operating conditions. Troubleshoot unit upsets and abnormalities. Witness the work permit system. Learn about health, safety and environmental hazards. Practice emergency preparedness.
