KOCH NITROGEN COMPANY, LLC Koch Nitrogen Company LLC is seeking a motivated and self driven Operations Technician to join our fertilizer shipping and storage terminal located in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: *Perform maintenance, inspections and operating of the anhydrous ammonia cryogenic refrigeration, storage and truck loading; liquid urea ammonium nitrate fertilizer storage and truck loading; and dry bulk fertilizers storage and truck loading processes *Conduct day to day electrical and instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting *Assist in development and execution of electrical and instrumentation projects Requirements *Must be able to climb stairs *Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds *Pass a pulmonary breathing test and wear a gas mask type respirator and full Level A PPE *Must be willing to work extended hours as required and be on a 24 hour on-call schedule nights and weekends *Instrumentation controls/electrical technician background *Experience or training in installation, maintaining, operating and troubleshooting complex electrical equipment an electronic control systems *Ability to understand procedures as well as safety environmental risks associated with related handling, shipping storing anhydrous ammonia *Effectively communicate to managers, customers and peers *Mechanical aptitude or background *Good documentation and organizational skills *High School Diploma or G.E.D. *Instrumentation and electrical technical training or equivalent experience To learn more about this position and/or to apply all interested candidates should visit our employment website at www.kochcreers.com and submit a resume to Job ID 6344.
