Operations / Trade Support Manager recruitment
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the management and strategic direction of the trade support/operations team. This is a challenging and "hands on" position which will require the individual to multi-task and innovate in addition to taking on ad-hoc projects and responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
Desk support for the sales and trading team
Oversight of settlements, reconciliations and confirmations
Recruitment and management of the current team
Daily PL reporting and assisting in risk monitoring
System project work
Experience Requirements
- Good exposure to energy operations/trade support with proven supervisory experience
- Stable work history with some time in both banks and commodity trading houses/funds or brokerage
- Strong IT skills seen as extremely advantageous, particularly within Excel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a real interest in networking communication
- Proactive, innovative and curious especially re the business, control process development
- A good understanding of both OTC and exchange traded instruments across the energy complex and relevant pricing, PL, settlement and regulatory environment.
- Front to back trade lifecycling knowledge.
- Experience of liaising with all areas and levels in a trading business
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
