Job Description:
Primary Functions:
Receiving and inspection of coils for incoming quality. Ensures all information is stored on the Coil Control System.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compliance to all work instructions and safe work procedures for the job
- Unload coils from the trucks and place them in the coil field, preform visual inspections
- Update the Coil Control System with the incoming coil and carrier information and attach a bar code tag to the received coil
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe and orderly black coil warehouse
- Assist coworkers when needed
Job Experience:
Skills/Experience:
- Must have previous overhead crane experience with a valid overhead crane license
- Good manual dexterity
- Analytical capabilities
- Ability to exercise some independent judgement
- Flexibility and willingness to assume a wide variety of process-related duties
- Good interpersonal skills
- Preferably one or two years of post secondary education
- Some assembly line experience or experience in steel processing preferred
- Some computer background would be an asset
Minimum Education Required: Some College
