OPM Project Manager
Sigmatech, one of the nations fastest growing Defense contractors, has the following opportunity available at our Crystal City, VA location: Project Manager – Training.
The successful candidate will manage the full lifecycle of multiple projects for various Federal clients funded through the OPM contract vehicle. Will serve as primary liaison for training and education projects. Coordinate with client on day to day basis on all project implementation requirements. Ensure that all contract deliverables and performance milestones are met for nationwide training and education programs (up to $15M).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises the analysis, design, development, and delivery of project deliverables.
- Develops Management Plan for projects including estimates and work structure breakdown.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and adherence to the Management Plan and master schedule
- Manage client expectations and scope of projects. Address change management requests.
- Responsible for overall project performance.
- Provide customer satisfaction while adhering to the statement of work and Management Plan.
- Assist in the development of proposals and responses to government solicitations and oral task order competitions.
Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of 5-7 years government program management experience, preferably in a large scale instructional/training/performance improvement programs. Experience in establishing a master program schedule utilizing MS Project 2007 and project costs using MS Excel 2007.
- Experience in managing large complex training programs for government clients, from inception through implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction to a matrix managed team in an environment which is dynamic and procedures need to be established.
- Proven expertise in the management and control of funds and resources.
- Prior experience developing, implementing, and managing large-scale instructional/performance improvement programs.
- Prior experience utilizing a Learning Management System preferred
- Bachelor degree in a related field required, Masters preferred.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and orchestrate geographically dispersed activities.
