OPNET Systems Engineer - To £55k - Bristol + Benefits!!!!
Our market leading client are looking for a Technical Implementation Engineer with expereince of OPNET to join their busy team.
The successful candidate will be an engineer with experience of building and implementing systems at customer sites with follow up support, preferably with experience of government clients.
You will:
- Initially maintain and troubleshoot existing systems at clients sites
- Investigate new technologies to implement in secure environments and contribute to the successful design, configuration and integration of solutions
Your skillset will consist of:
- Experience in a systems implementation role.
- Experience of working with large government department / enterprise systems
Key technologies:
- Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2008
- Windows XP /Vista/ 7
- Good grounding in a wide range of enterprise back office server applications and knowledge of server hardware
- Project Management
- Network configuration
- Secure systems background
You will need to have a proven background in installing and configuring OPNET ACELive (now ARX) products to conduct application performance management tasks; integration of these products into integrated service management solutions; and into reference/production environments.
With experience of a) interpreting ACELive outputs to explain application performance characteristics observed and b) to advise customers on the implications of that analysis e.g. Advising on application or infrastructure faults.
With experience of OPNET NetOne capacity and scenario planning tools - installing, configuring, using to conduct network discovery and capacity modelling.
You MUST be able to be security cleared for this position. Please do not apply if you cannot be cleared. You will be required to travel to client sites in London so you should have a full driving licence.
