Ops IB – Analyst – OTC Documentation Team – Incoming (Euro Shift)
ROLE SUMMARY:
This department supports the OTC derivatives business. Products supported include, but are not limited to, Structured Commodities, Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Swaps, Total Return Swaps, Callable Asset Swaps, Accumulators, Equity Linked Swaps and Ascots.
To provide documentation support for the global teams. The Derivative products supported will include Commodities, Credit, Equity, and Interest Rate.
• Knowledge of the following ISDA Definitions would be beneficial: 2005 Commodity Definitions, 2003 Credit Derivative Definitions, 2004 Novation Definitions, 2002 Equity Definitions, 2006 ISDA Definitions and the 1997 Government Bond Option Definitions.
THE ROLE INVOLVES:
Incoming Function, key deliverables will be
• Review of incoming vanilla and structured confirmations
• Assign daily incoming confirmations to CS trades
• Affirmation of trades in a manner consistent with risk mitigation and most recent regulatory targets
• Respond to client chasing queries in a timely manner
• Processing of eligible trades via Electronic Platform (DTCC and others where applicable) with a view to meet most recent regulatory targets
• Query resolution involving Legal, Front Office and external counterparties liaison to mitigate risk of outstanding unconfirmed trades.
• Deliver proactive, prioritised service to KAM clients.
• Liaise with front office, middle office and other departments to resolve discrepancies with counterparties
• Liaise with global OTC External Validation colleagues to ensure consistent application of processes and procedures.
• Updating Documentation systems
• Generate and monitor control reports
• Submit ideas for the improvement of existing controls and procedures including identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
• Organise and prioritise workload.
• Comply with product/process specific regulatory and internal procedures including escalation of control related issues as appropriate
• Required to work EMEA Shift 3pm start
• Participate in the testing process for upgrades to the confirmation systems.
• Review and provide input for Business Requirements.

• Degree relevant to financial services and/or prior experience (2-3 years) in the financial services sector would be a distinct advantage.
