Would you like to shape the Microsoft online advertising services to improve the quality and relevance of advertising results for Bing's Advertisers and Search users? The Network Quality Services team (NQS) is looking for a customer-focused, product manager to join our Strategy, Planning, and Innovation group. This position is the Product/program manager supporting our internal development resources. In addition to platform features, SPI develops internal tools for reporting, productivity tools and critical workflow management. Tools include Live Listing review, Mosiac workflows (appeals and spam ticket management) and our BI infrastructure. This individual will also play a key role in defining our overall NQS editorial platform working across the SPI program managers to define and guide editorial product initiatives - identifying issues, forming hypotheses, synthesizing conclusions into recommendations. To meet this end, this position will partner closely with the Business rules and ad quality team, SPI product management, service and Advertiser Services operations teams, Engineering, and Supportability PMs to: - Analyze key metrics and develop strategies for improvement - Identify and scope internal product requirements and functional designs - Translate functional designs into technical specs working with internal development resources - Manage product release schedules, testing and UAT with internal business stakeholders - Teach and train business users to effectively evaluate issues and recommend solutions - Build ROI scenarios supporting internal development products - Influence partners to effect solutions Core Responsibilities: - Evaluating, identifying gaps or conflicts, and developing internal solutions for existing processes and tools used to support the advertising business on a regular basis. - Leading service user groups in gathering and prioritizing detailed business requirements to support internal functional designs, use cases and ROIs. - Support internal development resources to develop technical specs, build priorities, and QA/testing scenarios. - Release internal tools and assure training, UAT and readiness across functional teams. - Provide follow-up and bug fix support along with internal development teams - Communicate and measure adoption, productivity and overall metrics associated with internal tools. Core Competencies: - Product management - Technical Aptitude - Analytical Problem Solving and trade-off analysis - Project Management - Organizational Agility Cross Team Collaboration - Customer Focus - Communication (oral and written) Qualifications: The ideal candidate is someone who has: - Experience in Product Development in a publisher or technology company - Demonstrated ability to manage large projects involving multiple stakeholders - Proven ability to articulate a project's vision and benefits, providing a solid rational to a multitude of partners - Experience working with Engineering teams and development methodolgies - Demonstrated track record of exceeding established goals on a consistent basis - Ability to quickly grasp and understand technical specifications, problems and concepts - Outstanding attention to detail combined with an ability to see the big picture - Digital advertising and technology industry Education and Experience: College degree required 6s, Agile, SCRUM, or related certification given preference; but not required. 3+ years relevant experience
