Job Summary
Field Inventory and Redeployment Analyst is responsible for day-to-day execution of Inventory Optimization.
Key responsibilities are to maintain and update the demand based inventory model, reports and underlying data needed to support inventory optimization. The job also entails acting as a liaison with the distributors to more efficiently manage field inventory and communication processes. Individual is also responsible for managing all elements of master production schedule (MPS) to derive proper finished goods stock levels for each item and MRP to generate all material requirements to support production plans.
Principal Duties Responsibilities
Maintain and develop demand-driven inventory model to assist with field inventory optimization initiatives.
Act as liaison with key data owners and stakeholders at distributor locations.
Assist with development and use of reports for use on-site at distributor to systematically approach
demand-driven inventory optimization efforts.
Work with sales operations, logistics, and forecasting groups to manage field inventory.
Identify underutilized inventory in the field and work to redeploy to reprocessing location, distributor or
warehouse.
Release work orders and purchase requisitions to support build plans.
Develop inventory plans to maintain target inventory levels.
Plan production levels for major product groups based on forecast demand, production availability, material availability and inventory requirement.
Expected Areas of Competence (KSA's)
-Possess knowledge of field inventory processes and functions.
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to achieve results through influence in a team oriented environment.
-Ability to handle multiple priorities and identify creative solutions to complex problems.
-Have understanding of supply chain and business processes including requirements planning, distribution, and sales.
-In-depth knowledge of information systems, interrelations and tools including Microsoft Office applications, SQL, Access, VBA, and the ability to utilize these tools to deliver critical business reporting and applications.
-Understanding of Zimmer products, strategic business units, and basic manufacturing process.
-Effective written and verbal communication skills and how to impact and influence people.
-Must acquire or possess familiarity with PMO (Project Management Office) processes and functions.
Education/Experience Requirements
-B.S. in Business Management or related fields
-5 or more years’ experience with sales operations functions and inventory management / logistics.
Travel Requirements
-Up to 40%
