Optical Lab Manager
Under general direction, the purpose of the position is to develop and implement local policies and procedures, enforce company policies and procedures, company philosophies, and meet company expectations. Colleagues in this classification perform technical and managerial work. Position is responsible for support center reporting, quality control, budgetary requirements, customer service, and management of lab personnel. Performs related work as directed. A typical day for a lab manager would consist of opening closing the lab. During business hours the lab manager would insure all timed jobs are being manufactured correctly while also insure that all orders are being tracked in cases where the job is not being completed in-house. The lab manager would communicate w/the retail staff multiple times during the day to communicate the progress of jobs. The lab manager is also responsible for personal job production and is expected to run various machines. The lab manager will be required to perform equipment maintenance per the company daily, weekly monthly schedules. The lab manager will also be required to produce more that 2.1 job per hour while maintaining a customer service score of 87 or greater.
