OPTO-MECHANICS TECHNICIAN
Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Opto- Mechanics Technician on a 12+ contract opportunity with a leading internet company in Mountain View, CA. The role of opto-mechanics technician would be to provide assistance to a fast track development of cutting edge optical products for consumer electronics. RESPONSIBILITIES: Performing first article inspection, metrology, building optical prototypes, maintenance of optical lab and optical instruments and making reports. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years of hands on industrial experience in optics industry as an optics technician Experience in designing and implementing simple mounts Sets up using SolidWorks and machine shop for precision optical applications PREFERRED: Associate degree or better in optics related technology Have worked in RD teams where minimum supervision is provided. Working knowledge of a variety of optical instruments: spectrometers, light sources, detectors, interferometers, oscilloscope Experience in assembly of optical components such as lenses, prisms, mirrors, opto- mechanics Working knowledge of optical adhesives Experience in precision alignment of light beams and optical/opto-mechanical components. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Good time management skills.
