Position Responsibilities

 

Job Overview: The Oracle Application Server Database administrator is a senior technical position revolving around Oracle technologies applied to the middle and back office securities business. Business Overview: The Post Trade Securities group within the division is on a thriving segment of the market and is facing growth prospect throughout Asia. The successful applicant will join our regional securities operations team. Duties and Responsibilities: • Support of production systems built on Oracle Application Server and Oracle Database, investigation and resolution of technical issues. (30 %) • Installation and upgrade of UAT and production systems based on Oracle AS DB. (25 %) • Maintenance of test beds and demo systems based on Oracle AS DB. (15 %) • Release of new binaries into UAT and production systems. (15 %) • Liaise with System Network administrator for operations relative to UAT and production systems hosted in datacenters. (10 %) • Out-of-hour/weekend occasional production support. Position Requirements

 

Essential Experience Required: • Proven track record as an Oracle database administrator. • At least 5 years of solid IT working experience with Oracle technologies. Desirable Experience Required: • Expertise in Oracle Application Server technology would be a plus. Essential Skills Required: • Oracle Database Administration. • Unix/Linux operating systems, commands and scripting. • Good command of English since interactions are expected with a team based in the UK. Desirable Skills Required: • SQL, PL/SQL, triggers, stored procedures. • System and Network administration skills. Qualifications: • University degree, with major in Science specializing in: Computer Science, Databases, Systems Networks. Competencies: • Mature person looking for a stable working environment. • Ability to work under pressure (production issues). • Team worker, flexible to adapt to new environment quickly. • Methodological.
