Oracle Database Administrator
Oracle Database Administrator needed for a new exciting 6 month contract in Belgium
-Required experience / skills
- Oracle DBA skills: system analysis, design, storage, security, backup, recovery, high availability, scalability, change management
- Sun Solaris 10, Oracle 10g, Oracle 11g, Migration of databases from 10G to 11G;
- Excellent communication skills in French and English.
- 5+ years of Oracle Database Administrator experience in a global enterprise environment
- A minimum of 3 years on Sun technology
Responsibilities:
Cooperate with the OS team (UNIX on SUN Solaris) for the installation and configuration of the
RDBMS software;
- Create the databases: its objects (tables, indexes) and their underlying physical objects;
- Implement database maintenance scripts and follow up their execution (backup, reorganization,
statistics);
- Be responsible for the security rules inside the database;
- Monitor periodically the system's resource usage and performance;
- Support development and maintenance teams with his proper knowledge;
- Write the DB related documentation;
- Actively participate to the migration project of Oracle 10G databases to Oracle 11G
