Alexander Black Recruitment is urgently looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to join our high profile client.
Our client is a small unique prop trading firm trading in a very unique market. They have around 200 employees with 3 offices globally. Much of what they do is a closely guarded secret that fill be discussed through the process. Their performance is market leading.
The role sits next to the CTO helping to solve unique problems as well as well as keeping their prop trading function keep running.

This role sits at the head of the Oracle team, where I am looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to can undertake major project work, solve very complex Oracle problems and act as a mentor to the rest of the team. You will work closely with the Linux team as well as developers providing company wide solutions. You will be expected to also take full oracle DBA responsibilities as well as some support.
Candidates MUST have:
- An MSc and BSc in computing
- 6 years commercial experience
- Extensive Oracle experience
- Oracle DBA background
- Oracle Advanced Security
- Real Application Clusters
- ASM
- Data Guard and Streams
- Linux
- Java
- EMC Products
- Experience managing Oracle in a high transaction environment
- Scripting in Shell Perl Bash or Python
- NetApp
- MySQL
