My client is a world renowned investment bank and has been investing heavily in their finance IT platforms. This particular IT finance Department are key to the success of their finance control function within the bank. This team are responsible for PL and balance sheet reporting, MI reporting for finance IT. This team are currently working on a business critical project to amalgamate all reporting throughout Finance IT to incorporate all asset classes which have historically had their own reporting systems.

With this growth within the business and the development of this fantastic project an opportunity for a senior Oracle Development DBA with experience of Exadata has arisen who will get the opportunity to work on the latest version of Exadata, Goldengate and Grid control, they will be working with high volume, highly transactional TB sized databases.

They will be responsible for:

*Technical designs for all new Oracle Development projects
*Be a subject matter expert for Exadata and provide training to development teams.
*Responsible for all code within the Oracle Database
*Oracle Performance tuning and various standard DBA activities
*Implementing all Oracle applications and working closely with the business to ensure the smooth running of this.

This particular area of the bank has had an increased focus over the past couple of years due to new Goverment leglislation and EU rules that have been implemented. With this taking place Finance IT is currently and likely to be one of the safest areas to be in for the foreseeable future.
