My client is a world renowned financial services company who specialize in multi-asset class data trade processing and data valuation. They operate on a global scale and are based in 22 countries around the world. Central to their success are their IT infrastructure which enables them as a company to process trades quickly and efficiently.
This IT Infrastructure supports around 2500 users operating on 2000 Linux and Windows operating systems., consisting of around 100 IT staff. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a senior/lead Oracle Performance DBA with a strong background in AWR, ASH, SQL tuning, ideally with experience using Oracle Events, Oracle performance tuning within a production support environment. 60% of the role will be monitoring and increasing the throughput and performance of the database, removing bottlenecks and increasing processing time. The other 40% of the role will involve taking control of Oracle DBA tasks such as supporting RAC and non- RAC environments, supporting existing and future Oracle 11g releases and installing and supporting Oracle ASM and Clusterware.
This role has endless opportunity for this individual to grow, they are not expecting the candidate to have any previous financial service knowledge, therefore this individual will be trained on all asset classes and team leadership or management is a real possibility within a couple years. This Client are working on Oracle (2010) or Oracle 11g R2 and are constantly looking to bring on new technologies and make use of all of Oracles new and existing features.
