Oracle Technical Lead, Oracle RDBMS, DBA
Leading Retail Bank now requires an experienced Oracle Technical Lead to provide specialist Oracle RDBMS support and leadership.
The Oracle Technical Lead will possess a high level of technical and infrastructure knowledge including cluster and high-availability solutions in order to work with engineering teams and drive forward continuous improvements of existing processes and procedures.
The Oracle Technical Lead will have worked previously as a DBA in both UNIX and Windows environments with a proven track record on Oracle RDBMS and features e.g. ASM, Dataguard, RAC. Experience with Oracle Tools e.g. SQLplus ans RMAN is essential, as is Networking experience - TCP/IP, DNS etc)
The ideal Technical Lead will have the following skills:
- Proven track record on Oracle RDBMS features e.g. ASM, Dataguard, RAC.
- Environments e.g. Unix and Windows.
- Oracle Tools e.g. Sqlplus, RMAN.
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, Onames) experience.
- Excellent infrastructure knowledge including cluster and high-availability solutions.
- Understanding of Incident, Problem and Change processes.
- Experience of working in large, complex organisations such as Investment or Retail banking.
Desirable:
- Other Oracle products such as E-Business Suite, OAS, OBIEE, SSO, OID, Web Logic, Exadata
- Other RDBMS concepts would be an added advantage.
