Position: Organisational Development Consultant - Contract
Hours: Full Time
Contract: Maternity Cover (Fixed Term Contract) May 2012 - July 2013

Location: London
Salary: Circa £40K pro rata

ROLE:
Organisational Development Consultant / LD Consultant is to ensure the delivery of corporate and individual development options ensuring these support the Organisational Development Strategy, the delivery of the annual corporate objectives, and longer term business strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Co-ordinate the Organisational Development processes on an organisation-wide basis, working closely with the HR Business Partner`s to produce timely management information for the HR Director and Executive Team.
b) Work with the HR Business Partner`s to develop solutions for specific individual or team issues which may involve the provision of design, materials or direct interventions through individual or team coaching sessions.
c) Work in partnership with the internal communications team to ensure consistent messaging of Learning Development activities around the business globally.
d) Assess external providers and manage the relationships with those providers to ensure that company`s philosophy and standards are maintained.
e) Drive improvements to Organisational Development processes to deliver high performance in line with Strategic Goals.
f) Build influence strategies and gain commitment to the implementation of Organisations Effectiveness principles and processes across the organisation.
g) Advocate the people side of change management and provide direct change management support to projects and initiatives.
h) Undertake administrative and organisational requirements for all internally run development events.
i) Responsible with the HR managers for developing and implementing the induction process for all new staff.
j) Develop robust relationships with all managers in order to influence, challenge and support. Provide day-to-day advice, support and guidance to managers and staff across the company.
k) Work with international and regional staff to enable training in international and regional locations.
l) Deliver learning solutions and coaching of staff in a development context.
m) Work with line managers/functional trainers to identify, develop and source the internal Learning Development capability, across the organisation, to ensure that all training is delivered to company`s standards.
n) Monitor and control the training budget, keeping an accurate record of expenditure.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) CIPD qualification and/or appropriate Organisational Development qualification or global equivalent.
b) Significant and progressive Organisational Development experience in global roles.
c) Solid experience in change management, Organisational Development philosophy, principles and practices, employee engagement, coaching and organisation development.
d) Commercial awareness.
e) A strong influencer with a complex array of audiences and stakeholders to be motivated to deliver objectives and can manage change transitions.
f) Excellent organisational, administrative and personal communication skills.
g) A motivator and developer of people.
h) Project management skills.
i) Team collaboration and effective working with others to achieve corporate goals, with the ability to initiate and embrace change and act as a catalyst for positive business change.
