Opportunity
The Infracapital team within MG Investments, the investment management arm of Prudential Plc, are seeking a motivated employee with excellent transaction management and financial modelling skills to join the this infrastructure equity investment team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Infracapital, MG's infrastructure equity investment team. The team of eighteen is responsible for managing investment funds targeting private equity investments in core European infrastructure businesses and projects. Noteworthy investments that the team have completed include Associated British Ports, Kelda Group, Zephyr (the UK's largest operational wind farm portfolio), Calvin Capital, Alticom and Red Funnel in addition to over 20 substantial PPP infrastructure projects
Infracapital's primary focus is making and managing investments in the core infrastructure sectors of utilities, transport and social infrastructure and is actively looking to develop its investment portfolio across Europe.

The Prudential Group has made a significant commitment to infrastructure with substantial investments in both public and private equity and is one of the leading institutional investors in the infrastructure market. The Infracapital business is expected to grow significantly over time as MG actively develops this important investment class.

Key responsibilities
To analyse and take an active role in executing new transactions and developing the investment pipeline.
Specifically:
- Evaluate, structure and negotiate (as appropriate) investment opportunities, taking increasing responsibilities for key worksteams of the acquisition process
- Create and/or review detailed financial models relating to potential investments or portfolio companies.
- Make verbal and written presentation of proposed and existing investments to the Fund's Investment Committee.
- Liaise with key counterparties such as advisers, lenders and corporate representatives
- Assist in marketing to brokers, intermediaries and sponsors, in relation to specific transactions and also to ensure a constant pipeline of transactions.
- Monitor and develop our in depth understanding of our target sectors.
- Keep abreast of the European infrastructure marketplace for developments and new opportunities.

What we are looking for
Transaction management experience required.
Excellent analysis, financial modelling and valuation skills and experience.
European language(s) a plus but not essential.
Proven experience in an infrastructure transactional role.
The selected candidate is likely to have an advisory or investment banking background but may also be currently based in an infrastructure fund.
Confident and presents a positive image in meetings within and outside of MG.
Commercially astute with appreciation of relevant legal issues.
Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Team player.
Motivated and self-starter: ability to work independently and use initiative.
