Job Summary:
Our client is a leading global multidisciplinary seeking a competent Ornithologist with proven experience in consultancy. Successful candidates will join the national ecology team, supporting a range of both private and public sector clients internationally and within the UK.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Be responsible for the delivery and management (technical, commercial and financial) of projects
- Maintain and develop a diverse client base
- Support and develop the national team
- Undertake both field based and office based work.
Key Skills / Requirements:
Successful candidates will be enthusiastic, confident and motivated with good communication skills and able to work independently as well as part of a team. The following skills are essential;
- Excellent Phase 1 habitat and protected species/ornithological surveying skills (particularly onshore and offshore wind farm surveys);
- Protected species licence desirable (for one or more species);
- Sound knowledge and experience in EIA and environmental mitigation;
- Sound knowledge and experience of ecological clerk of works and UK/European wildlife legislation (protected species and species of high conservation importance)
- Proven project management and development experience including scoping, estimating and tendering
