OTC Clearing Project VP recruitment
Our client is one of the world's largest investment banks. They currently have an opportunity for a senior-level Project Manager/Business Analyst for Interest Rate Derivative Clearing Projects. The role is at VP level, and is based in the London Docklands
The goal of the clearing project group is to deliver an industry-leading client clearing service for OTC derivatives (equity, interest rates and credit), listed derivatives, commodities and FX asset classes by performing the following:
-Specify and deliver the technology and processes necessary to support the derivative clearing businesses
-Define the future vision for derivative clearing operations (processes, organisational models etc.)
-Institute a client on-boarding and support model within operations for the derivative clearing businesses
This OTC clearing project management position involves managing a large team and will involve directing individuals who are not direct reports - which will increase the management challenge and the need for the candidate to show strong influencing skills.
The successful OTC clearing projects project management professional will have:
-Extensive experience working within financial services, preferably with experience in interest rate derivatives (IRD) and project management
-Detailed understanding of interest rates derivative processing particularly within trade capture, trade affirmation and allocation processing
-Experience in managing large scale projects
-Practical knowledge of defining business cases, requirement gathering, resource planning, implementation and milestone tracking, test planning and other project management skill sets
-Working knowledge of the changing landscape across OTC derivatives with particular emphasis on OTC clearing
-A track record of project delivery and prior experience of stakeholder management is also required
The successful OTC clearing projects VP will be capable of performing detailed business analysis (either on their own or through a team of junior analysts) in order to understand and resolve current issues and develop/define the future state vision.
