OTC Collateral Manager recruitment
The Collateral Management Department of our client is responsible for exposure monitoring of complex client trading strategies at the firm across all OTC Derivatives businesses (Equity, Fixed Income, FX and Commodities) and Repo. They currently seek a Team Manager to manage the team for the EMEA region. The successful EMEA OTC Collateral Manager will be working in the London Docklands for one of the world's largest and most prestigious investment banks.
The successful candidate will manage a large team, including team leaders, and will have responsibility for execution and control of the bank's daily exposure management processes for collateralised relationships. The OTC collateral manager will:
-Take responsibility for the day to day control and execution of the daily call process
-Perform people management and personal development for several individuals, including team leaders
-Show continuous improvement to the processes in both control and efficiency through both self managed and team driven projects
-Ensure provision of sound risk management to the process and enforcing the culture of risk management within the team
-Provide a key point of escalation for sales, trading and risk teams
-Ensure the development and implementation of collateral support processes for new and often-complex products
This is a high-calibre role and as such demands a significantly-experienced professional. The OTC collateral manager will possess the following skills and experience:
-Experience in both people and operations management, including people development, risk management and driving continuous improvement
-Strong academics in an analytical, financial or mathematically related subject
-Proven exposure to OTC derivative products and the collateral process
-Demonstration in their past work experience of robust analytical skills, high attention to detail and process improvement
-Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, being able to communicate clearly and concisely, moderating style and delivery to suit different parties and media
