As part of our Asia-Pacific expansion we are looking for an OTC Derivatives Clearing Specialist to spearhead our consulting drive across Australia for this Sydney-based role. This is an exciting opportunity for an OTC client service/ product manager or related professional looking to develop and shape a business in a hands-on client facing consulting role.
Requirements
The successful OTC Derivatives Clearing Specialist will bea highly technical individual with experience working in an OTC Clearing function either for an investment bank, a clearinghouse or in a consulting capacity. It is essential that the successful applicant be up to speed with the OTC reforms (Dodd-Frank, EMIR, G20 commitment).The applicant must also be able to distinguish between clearing broker offerings – strengths, weaknesses, best practices and be knowledgeable on: portability, collateral transformation, total cost analysis and margin optimisation.
As the lead consultant, you will be commercially astute and take an active role in project management, service development and delivery.
This lead consultant role will include the following:
- Presales and delivery
- Play a crucial role in the development of a new offering
- Manage workflow for you and your team
- Working closely with the client and their providers
Qualifications
- Degree in a Business or Finance related field
- Client facing consulting experience desired but not essential
- At least 2 years’ experience working in an OTC Derivatives Clearing most likely for an investment bank, a consultancy or a clearinghouse.
- Risk management background desirable
- VP/Manager level
- It is essential the candidate understand how different types businesses will be impacted by the upcoming OTC reforms
