Overall Purpose of Job

The purpose of the role is to contact our existing customer base, in an attempt to gain repeat business. To achieve this it is the sales advisors role to explore the needs of the customer, so that we can offer the customer a tailored package that meets the customer’s individual requirements, taking into consideration Handset/Network/Tariff/Lifestyle. To approach every interaction with customers as an opportunity to explore ways to increase sales and value add services such as insurance and accessories.

Duties Responsibilities

Sales

· To meet and exceed minimum individual sales targets, for example connections, conversion, as well as any others that may be informed by the Senior Sales Managers

· To keep up to date with all current promotions and product knowledge whilst maintaining strict impartiality and integrity when selling to customers

· To use the SOLVE approach to provide customers with the right product recommendation to meet their needs and actively drive the SOLVE approach forward within the team

· To ensure a consistently high standard of customer satisfaction is achieved in every call

· To gather ideas and methods to improve sales within the team and department as a whole and feedback this information to the Team Manager

Communication

· To effectively communicate, clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form

· To communicate professionally with both customers and colleagues

· To liase with the Team Manager and feedback any potential issues with team members, stock customer services, marketing, products or IT

· To ensure a smooth two-way flow of communications with all other departments, in particular the Customer Service, Marketing Product departments

· To ensure that consistently high standards of customer satisfaction are achieved on every call

Team Work

· To role model the 5 FUNDAMENTAL RULES within their behaviour

· To share ideas within the team on how we can be more effective and follow solutions through to implementation

· To share knowledge and information within the team/department and contribute in any team meetings

· To participate in team activities and objectives creating a fun working environment for the team

· To work cohesively with other team member to meet team targets and promote healthy internal competition

· To take a proactive approach to all work and complete all activities in a timely, accurate and efficient manner in accordance with procedures and work instructions

Skills Experience

The Individual

Essential:

· Sales experience with a proven record of working in a target orientated environment

· Have an ability and willingness to learn new systems and procedures

· Be computer literate, preferably with knowledge of using the internet and email

· Possess the necessary listening and communication skills required to turn an enquiry into an order which is suitable for that customer

· Have an ability to overcome objections

Desirable:

· Knowledge of mobile phones, mobile networks and/or tariffs

· Commercial awareness of the mobile phone industry

Personal Attributes:

· Be able to work on their own initiative in order to achieve the set requirements

· Be a team player and feel comfortable in communicating with work colleagues

· Have a positive and outgoing manner, but with an ability to take control of a situation

· Show self motivation and have the necessary drive to achieve the best results

· Show good organisation skills in order to manage customer’s accounts

· Be reliable and trustworthy, as the role requires dealing with customers’ personal information
