Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Case Manager Job in Stroudsburg 18360, Pennsylvania US
Full time position in a small private non-profit agency for outpatient substance abuse services. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, plus one evening per week. 35-hour work week. Job duties to include:
- Conducting screenings for determination of emergency medical needs
- Conducting substance abuse evaluations to determine the presence or absence of a substance abuse problem, and determination of level of care
- Providing direct clinical and/or supportive chemical dependency services to individual clients, members of their families, and/or significant others, to aid them in achieving a more satisfactory adjustment to their specific problems or situations.
- Assisting the doctor with Medication Assited Treatment.
- Designing treatment plans by utilizing knowledge of alcohol and drug dependency, counseling, and treatment methods, tailoring approach to individual needs.
- Working in close cooperation with other social service agencies, hospitals, clinics, courts, and community resources in planning to meet the needs of clients, and assists them in utilizing their resources.
- Preparing dictation and record keeping as required by specific agency programs, on a timely basis as directed by the supervisor.
- Adhering to established regulations, policies and procedures of the overall agency and their specific component.
- Attending seminars, conferences and training to enhance skills and performance as directed by the supervisor.
- Performing in an advisory capacity to other professional staff in specialized areas through participation in conferences and meetings for purpose of diagnosis and plan of treatment.
Minimal experience and training:
Master's Degree preferred, or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with a major in Chemical Dependency, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field.
All candidates must pass PA Criminal Background and Child Abuse Clearances.
