Coordinator is directly responsible for the daily management and training of registration, secretarial, and medical clerical staff, providing quality review and feedback as needed within the Outpatient Center (OPC), Center for Healthy Aging (CHA), and Addiction Recovery Center (ARC). Under the direction of the Manager the Coordinator will implement and monitor policies and procedures and perform employee performance evaluations. The Coordinator will actively manage the Scheduling/Registration Module. The Coordinator will represent the Manager as directed in Department and inter-hospital meetings. Knowledge and ability to communicate policies and procedures related to all access functions within
OPC/CHA/ARC, including JCAHO, Medicare, Medicaid, Hospital registration and scheduling and order entry systems. PC experience with Excel and word desired. Must be able to articulate issues and interact successfully with other departments and colleagues.
EDUCATION: 2-4 year College Graduate preferred. Life/work experience skills may be substituted.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years Supervisory experience in a fast paced medical practice environment. Counseling/Social Work and/or group therapy experience, a plus. Excellent patient service skills. Ability to train subordinate staff to the highest quality standard. Independent problem solving. Experience in admitting/registration, financial setting where teamwork development is essential to daily responsibilities.
HOURS:. Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. Must be flexible with schedule
