Directions for Youth Families have the following open position:
Outreach Worker: The Promises Program works with youth between the ages of 7 and 17. The program provides individual, group, and family counseling to survivors of sexual abuse. Goals of the program include helping survivors of sexual abuse overcome their experience, preventing self-destructive behaviors associated with sexual abuse, strengthening social/family relationships in order to promote positive growth, and teaching skills to prevent re-victimization. The selected individual must possess strong clinical skills and knowledge of strategies used to treat survivors of sexual abuse.
LSW or LPC required. Masters degree, minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and families, and experience working with trauma survivors preferred. (Job Code LJ)
