Outside Dealer Sales Rep II (B) - Heavy Duty Trucks

Job Summary: Reporting to the Speciality Manager or designated manager, assist in Heavy Truck consignment activities, including maintaining contact with Heavy Truck consignment dealers and sales representatives. The outside sales representative builds and services dealer relationships, development of new business, retention of existing business and any other duties and responsibilities required. Perform all duties assigned by the Speciality Manager or designated manager. Must know, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed at all times.  
 
Responsibilities and Duties: 
 
 
1.       Execute the sales strategy at the auction location as set forth by the Speciality Manager.
2.       Utilize Sales Force to create sales strategy and organize customer contact workflow to make follow up a seamless process.
3.       Manage territory to incorporate a variety of sales calls (prospecting, account maintenance, fallout, etc) to ensure overall growth in the volume of Heavy Duty dealer consignment units consigned from all current and potential accounts.
4.       Work with manager to create a daily/weekly sales plan to determine which business opportunities have the best potential and will yield the greatest return. 
5.       Attend weekly sales meetings, turn in all required weekly and monthly reports, and help drive the team to the ultimate sales goal.
6.       Complete a minimum of 32-40 sales calls per week.
7.       Communicate with Speciality manager every day.
8.       Help dealers to see the value in consignment service both in-lane and on-line. 
9.       Create performance reports each week that you will review with your   Speciality Manager, and at times the auction GM.
10.   Participate in the auction operation process both pre-sale day and sale day.
11.   Get units consigned, help the auction get them sold, and make the dealer’s experience unforgettable every week.
 
12.   Monitor all area conditions, vehicles, property and equipment within corporate standards for cleanliness, proper maintenance and safety.  Conduct daily inspections to determine if appearance meets these standards and advise Facilities of all breakdown and maintenance needs immediately.  
 
13.   Make sure all Department area conditions do not threaten employee or customer safety.  Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee and customer accidents, injuries, and loss or damage to any property.  Report all incidents immediately.  Practice and instruct all employees in proper loss prevention and reaction procedures.  Report all incidents properly and immediately. 

 
 
Educational Requirements and Qualifications:  High School Diploma/GED preferred. Two (2) to four (4) years outside sales experience and one (1) to three (3) years office or auction experience required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
