Outside Industrial sales Job in Portland, Oregon US

Job Purpose:
Calling on the industrial MRO industry, truck repair shops, agriculture, municipalities, auto motive repar.

Duties:
* Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by doing effective hands on demonstrations of cutting tools, abrasives, chemicals, and electrical products. Targeted goal of taking over and organizing fastener bins and trays. Adapting selection to customer needs.

* Planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential industrial and automotive accounts.

*Comfortable in a fast competitive market, often first call closing on demonstrations.

* Adapts content of sales demonstrations to the needs of the client.

* Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of accounts.

* Submits orders every day to be processed and shipped directly to the customer.

* Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plan.

* Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.

* Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
