Outside Sales-Metal Service Center-SW Wisconsin Large Metal Service Center with multiple locations throughout the country has a need and an exciting opportunity for an experienced Metal Service Center Outside Sales Person. A nonferrous background is important, but this person would be responsible for selling sheet, coil, plate, and long products in carbon as well as stainless, aluminum and red metals. The territory would cover roughly everything west of 90/94 from the state line north to LaCrosse and possibly a couple counties north of there. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Secures orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer facility or contacting by phone. Secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements. Follows up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted to customers. Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, other key personnel). Submits weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships. Performs all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory. Provides a territory sales forecast on a monthly basis. ã?? ã??Requirements: Must have a strong sales experience and a service center background in Carbon Steel Flat Roll products. This person should have a following in the target market of Southwestern WI Metal Service Center outside sales experience. Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well organized. Willingness to travel.
